Replying to: jimsinkorea (Oct 30, 2008 7:59 pm) compared to... The states don't allow for DVD/TV to play up front and for good reason, however...that doesn't stop the masses from bypassing the e-brake cut off and making it work while in motion anyway. I can only imagine how sweet the ones over in Korea are considering that's the point of origin and I'm sure they have more aftermarket stuff available to them that we have yet to see. Here's one you can check out... Jason's Hyundai Azera Page There's a couple of sources available to those of us here that we can hook our Azeras up if we choose. Only thing is...the majority here buying them are the age group that have no interest in "hooking up" their Azera. |

Replying to: allmet33 (Oct 30, 2008 7:58 am) I have owned Mazdas, Saabs, Audis, Nissans, Toyotas, Fiats, etc and all of them had an appropriate size space for US plates on the front and back or no space at all. Most foreign cars do not have a bump, space or anything. The bumper cover is usually smooth until you get right up on it and see dimples for drilling. I had to kneel down 1 foot from the bumper cover to see the ones on my Toyata Camry. Hyundai has the too large rectangle and six obvious dimples on it. Not a major thing, but another indication of poor planning of the Azera for the US market.

My Azera has the bulge just like in the pic below and my plate covers it just nicely. See how small that raised section is, just right for a U.S. plate. That is how mine is and all the ones I've seen running around. Post a pic for us to see what you're talking about.

Replying to: allmet33 (Oct 31, 2008 8:34 am) Did an unscientific survey last couple of days while on road, in parking lots and looking through car magazines. Of all the cars I saw, none had a space for a plate molded into the bumper cover except Ford vehicles and those were slightly larger than a standard plate to allow for a frame. Some vehicles in mags were obviously in Japan or Europe and had the long plates. Most either had a smooth bumper cover or perhaps a couple of dimples for drilling. A few trucks and SUV's did have holes for mounting a bracket or a plate, but this seemed to be if they had a bumper as such. As I said, this is not a major problem, but TO ME it indicates a lack of planning on Hyundai's part when they decided to market the car in America. If they did not plan for this, what else did not modify for USA, other than suspension? Thanks for your input and I am trying not to be picky. |

| Stayed on for an hour. On my way back after the car sat all day, no lights or warnings. Is this something I should look into ot a fluke computer glitch? | |

Replying to: wobbly_ears (Nov 16, 2008 8:40 pm) So far, I've had the front passenger seat belt tensioner replaced as well as the bottom seat cushion due to codes saying those components were at fault. Guess what, the light came on again after those replacements were done. The hardest thing now is getting the light to come on when the service department is open so I can drop by while the light is on so they can check it out. |
