Has anybody found a source for replacement keys for less than the $35 charged by Honda? I know it still has to be the Honda blank. e

The blank is $40 and there's a $55 service fee to imprint the chip and make the key - and you have to bring both of the other keys with you. There are costs to having that immobilizer chip in the key. Total cost before tax - $95. If there's a cheaper way, I'd sure like to know.

$35 is a very good price for that replacement key, if that includes the cutting and programming.

It will not matter you need Honda to program the key. I do not think they will accept a blank key from somewhere else.

Hi, I am wondering how many keys people got with their sport fits. I got just one and that will be a problem given my tendancy to lose everything...
Thanks.

Officially you should get two (2) keys with sport, both with remotes in the key head. You should also have gotten a number tag with the keys which has something to do with the programming code. This is also what is stated in the manual, so if you got only one, then go complain and get your second key.

Thanks to both of you. After reading your posts, I looked better and found my key in the dealer packet, blush.

after over 2000 miles and no problems, the locks no longer function properly. when i hit the lock button(on the door or the remote)i hear a double 'locking' sound. unlock just clicks so i know the solonoid works. i manually unlocked all doors and hatch but the problem remains. the manual says to take to dealership for this. has anyone else experienced this?
