I'm curious to find out where in TX people are getting quoted $37,500 for a 2013 RDX AWD + Tech. I am in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and have contacted the dealers in this area. The best price I've been able to get quoted is $37,500 (destination inclusive) for the 2013 RDX FWD + Tech. They are telling me $40,397.75 OTD. Using online estimating calculators for TTL estimating that I should be expecting about $2,500 for TTL, it seems as though the dealer is trying to get away with sneaking in a pretty sizable doc fee. What do you guys think?

The $400 difference may be in how the vehicle is taxed to get an OTD price of $40,397.75. Ask to see a sample Sales Tax Transaction Return. In Illinois it is the ST-556. Line 1. "Total price (include accessories, federal excise taxes, freight and labor, dealer preparation, documentary fees, and dealer-reimbursed rebates or incentives)"$____________ That $________ total is then taxed. I was of the opinion that only tangible goods were taxable (LIKE THE CAR ITSELF). These forms allow services to be taxed as though it is a physical product. Example when I have my car repaired only parts are taxed not labor or services. It is like the state's Dept of Revenue is double speaking. If someone has an explanation regarding taxing services, labor and, taxing a tax (the federal excise tax even gets taxed) with respect to vehicles, please enlighten me. Thanks

I am in MD and have gotten numerous prices for an RDX - can anyone tell me if these are competitive ?
1. AWD RDX 37510 + 200 fee + TT = 40290 OTD
2 AWD RDX - OTD =41257 ( no breakdown)
These seem steep to me ?Thanks for the help , I have never bought anything this costly!!!

I'm in Atlanta, GA and I just received an offer for the RDX FWD with Tech $37,919 (plus tax and fees), which includes the splash guards, all season mats, trunk tray, and wheel locks.
Is this a good deal? It seems high when some people are getting the AWD with Tech for around the same price. Could the price difference be due to my location?

Check the "dealer fee" also as I've read they can be very high in Georgia. I just bought an AWD tech in IL for $38415 & ttl with a $160 dealer fee. The cost to your dealer for those throw in accessories is about $250. So on the surface it doesn't appear to be a real good deal. However, as you said, you have to conside the local market. Atlanta should have plenty of Acura dealers to compete so you should be able to do a little better especially if the "dealer fee" is several hundred dollars.

If one of the 'fees' is destination to be added to your quote, I'd say you could do much better, especially if you're willing to deal before the end of business Saturday(end of the month/quarter...SOMEbody will deal!). With five dealers in the area, you've got some leverage.
You're only $600 off full sticker if your quote does not include destination. Nothing slick about that. If it DOES include destination, you're in the ballpark, I think, for a quick-selling 2013 vehicle. Don't get TOO wrapped up in what you 'hear' as deals unless 'they' can give you the name of the dealer who will give you the same.
You're in one of the auto-driving centers of the universe. That should work in your favor. Five dealers plus one in Athens means serious supply and competition... IF you're ready, get a deal by tomorrow! Email any Internet manager you can find in Atlanta and work those numbers!!!
