Interesting...'my' dealer applies the body side molding on all RDXs(unless the customer specifically excludes them). I think they add a little 'something', but I'm not sure how effective they are. This dealer also includes wheel locks as a matter of routine.
We'll wish we had a cargo area cover and I would like the all-weather cargo tray, but the suggested retail is too high, IMO. An 'all-weather' package including mats, cargo deck liner and cargo area cover should be available at an attractive price. I prefer all-weather mats that lie on top of the carpeted mats, easily removed when desired. Not crazy about the 'weathertech' style of liners that replace the factory mats, so that quest continues. GoodYear makes a decent mat that worked in the XC60, but the config and color in the RDX will be a challenge.
I used the rails on each of our wagons/CUVs MAYBE once a year(if that). Some CUVs look better with the rails...I'd say it's a toss-up on the RDX, depending on your tastes. I prefer to put my bike inside the vehicle, so no need for the bike rack accessory. We went with the dealer installed tint for the front windows to help with the central Texas sun.
The fogs are OK, but are easily overwhelmed by the HID lights. If you have standard headlamps, they are likely more effective.
By the bye, Volvo usually sends a coupon for 15% off accessory purchases shortly after taking delivery. I wonder if Acura has such an offer.

Are you saying you paid $34,000 for your 2013 base RDX AWD OTD? The dealer down in TX insisted that AWD comes with tech pkg only. And the price is 37,100+TTL. Hey, it's worth it to fly up to NJ to get the car at that price.

we are going to order the cargo cover and rear tray off the internet. handa.com has pretty good discounts, and there may be better ones elsewhere. That is a dealer selling the same part as your local dealer, just a lot cheaper!
the only reason I want the rails is the 1 time a year we travel "heavy" (Christmas road trip to visit the families). Downsizing from an Odyssey may be a problem, unless I jettison one of the kids!

OTD depends on the state of course.
But, your TX dealer is fibbing. The AWD is certainly available without the tech package (since there is one in my driveway, I can attest to it!)/ But, quite possibly they just don't order any that way. Some dealers load up on certain configurations.
As to price, I paid 33.5 + 199 dealer doc fee, so $33,699 complete, + the government stuff (DMV fees and sales tax) that will of course vary wildly state to state.

buya, do you mind telling me where (what dealer and contact) in Texas you were quoted this deal on the 2013 RDX AWD + Tech package? I'm in Dallas and looking for a FWD + Tech and the lowest I've been quoted so far is $37500 + TTL. I've been following the threads here and I feel that there are better offers to be had. I asked for $39k out the door but no takers up here in Dallas.
Based on your quote of $37,100+TTL for a AWD+Tech, I'm sure they'd be giving me a deal that would beat out the deals up here. I'd be open to driving to central Texas to save several hundred bucks. Thanks!
#1433 of 2028 Boston Area Pricing
by bossfan50

I received the following quotes from a Boston area Acura dealer
FWD Base - MSRP $35,215, Price Quote - $33,715 $1500 discount from MSRP
AWD Tech - MSRP $40,315, Price Quote - $38,415 $1900 discount from MSRP
Dealer Doc $298
I also asked for prices on FWD Tech and AWD Base and the response was that they discount all trims by around $2,000 although the FWD Base quote I received is only $1500 so I can see if I can get another $500 or so off of that.
Thoughts on the quotes? Looks like with some exceptions most prices paid that I have seen on various sites are $1500 to $2000 off MSRP so do I have any wiggle room? Thank you for any replies and input.

$37,100 is what the salesman told me. When I checked on what he wrote down, just to be sure I'm not sending you down the wrong path, it was $37,598. This salesman, who said he's the internet salesperson for his dealership, also said his discount was $1,500. The dealership is Sterling McCall Acura in Houston 77074. The salesman name is not permissible on this forum, but that name rhymes with Hymie. He seemed to be willing to reduce the price some more for me, and I don't doubt he would for you. Google their phone number and hash up a deal close to your target with "Hymie" before traveling 400 miles down to Houston would be a wise thing to do, and getting the quote in writing wouldn't hurt either.
Good Luck.

#1437 of 2028 Should I buy it?

I have an opportunity to buy my mother-in-law's 2007 RDX. She has passed on to a better place. It has 60,000 miles on it. I would get it for around $14,000. I currently drive a 2010 Nissan Armada also with 60,000. I no longer need such a big car and the gas mileage is killing me. It gets around 13 mpg. I think I can get around 20k for the Armada. The Acura is in great shape. Would this be a wise decision? I have heard the RDX requires premium fuel. Would the extra cost of that gas make it a wash?
Would love to hear feedback on this and would appreciate any insite you could give me. Oh and I am not a car person so be gentle.
