The TSB was performed on my GS over a year ago. Now after 12K miles, the squealing noise is back. And this time it happens at warm temperature also.
I don't know what they can do now.

I didn't ask them to look into the issue yet.
I will ask them when I bring my car in for the valve springs recall.

I have had a noise for around 6 months now. I brought the car in several times and the mechanic could not mimic the noise, I then went to the dealer and rode with the manager, the car made the noise within 10 feet after driving off. They put shims and the noise went away for a week, it is back again. I also had my navigation upgraded when this work was done and now my drivers seat does not go back when I turn the car off. the mechanic put on the work order that this does not happen in this vehicle. I have had the car for almost two years and I swear when I would turn it off the seat would go back a little and the steering wheel would tilt up. Can anyone advise if their vehicle does this or was I just imagining this? It really upsets me that they did not advise me of this after having my car for three business days for an oil change, the other two issues they advised could not be fixed.

i guess that`s what my dealer has done on my 2008. TBS-0040. They did it at 10k, Now 10 months later the cold temps have them squeeling again. only have 12k total miles on car. Now what is the dealer going to do. Anyone else going through this?

My steering wheel slides back and tilts up when turning engine off. The seat does not move. Maybe there is a memory program for the seat,I have not checkd that yet.

Do you happen to have the Service Bulletin #s that applied to your particular case?
I had to replace my front brake pads at 13k miles, so a tech suggested going to a ceramic pad and matching rotors for longer life.
Now, I have driven another 11k miles and am being told that the pads are just past their wear indicators and that I need to do a front brake job again.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!

For the 2008. TSB- 0040. The dealer put upgraded pads, rotors and anti squeel shims. Did you have a lexus dealer do the brake job? If so,call lexus support.

i just had my brakes done again for the third time for my 08 gs. it's been 2 days so far..no squeaking as of yet. but it's also the second time they've changed my brakes and rotors and used the anti-squeel shims. NO LUCK! I thought we were paying for great cars. it's making me want to change cars. suggestions?

It is a great car though the sqeaky brakes in the winter months. In the warmer months i have 1 squeel with the first use of the brakes, then it`s fine. I`ve opt out on a second TSB. I only have 13k. The service was done at 9k. I don`t see any point in doing another.
