Myself, I didn't care for the seats very much as they seemed thin and just didn't wrap around me like I'd hope they would. Someone had their children in the 3rd row and everyone seemed content. I didn't care for the dash where the speedo display is at, but the 3rd row and cargo area looked great, especially when I compared it to a Tahoe, Yukon, and Denali XL I also got a look at today. GM products have those stupid seat rails sticking above the floor surface, among other issues. Last but not least, Ford should have kept the Excursion. Ford did a very poor job in marketing the Excursion. Dealers did themselves, the Excursion, and Ford in by refusing to negotiate on the vehicle, especially diesel equipped models. Proof of this is how fast they disappeared from lots locally when Ford went to employee pricing in 2005.

I like the interior and engine on the Denali but like the safety features and power fold down seats of the Expy. Although, I have the XL Denali so rarely do I need to have the third row fold down. What I hate about the Expy is the cheap plastics used in the interior and especially the seats. This was the first vehicle I ever purchase where I couldn't stand the new car smell. It smelled like a pool liner. Also hated that the brakes through so much brake dust out. Had the pads replaced at no charge though. I like the looks of the new Expy but I would choose air suspension like I had in the 2000 Expy. Along with the Denali, it was the best riding vehicle I ever had. All Ford has to do is make the interior a lot nicer and catch up to GM and Chrysler in the Horsepower department and I'm sold.

Was driving past and saw a transport truck. 2 U-turns and quick run of a redlight later...there I stood next to the 2007 Expedition EL. The Corporate driver was dropping off a LTD edition at the offices and was taking another to Colorado. From the 20 inch wheels to the extra room in the rear. I cannot wait to test drive this car. It was just gorgeous. After test driving what GM has to offer, I cannot wait for this to arrive at the dealers. Does anyone know when these will arrive at the dealers? I thought they would be in showrooms by now. Thanks

You can purchase a Ford accessory (Mobile-Ease), but it's not as functional or clear as several after market products made by Motorola and others. While I don't like add on accessories, if you do choose to add Bluetooth capability to the '07 Expedition, your best bet may be Best Buy/Circuit City/etc.

Replying to: cldawson1 (Oct 12, 2006 7:55 am) i don't think that the vehicle in the picture is an EL. notice the space behind the 3rd row - it is minimal, like the regular length truck. I have an 07, trading up from a 97. The 07 interior is noticeably tighter than the first generation body style. The second row seats are fixed, and the auto seat adjustment (option) automatically sends the drivers seat back when the key is removed, further squishing the fixed space in the 2nd row. I used to keep all three of my kids booster seats in the second row of my 97, and had no problem getting in and buckling them all up, now it's very hard to do. Head rests are fixed, and can't be removed, so if you want an obstruction free interior for lane changes and the like, you have to work around it. Otherwise, it's a sweet machine.

I saw the 2007 Expedition today and was wondering if it came with Blue Tooth? The salesman didn't know and the Ford Web site does not give any information regarding the Blue Tooth. Replying to: sirraf (Oct 18, 2006 9:44 am) No, no Ford vehicle does yet from the factory, but according to one statement someone at Ford made, there should either be a dealer-installed version or some different aftermarket ones that can be done easily. They're working on it, but it's not yet a regular feature for most of their vehicles.
