XUV Rear Window Stuck

Need a little help, please. We have a 2004 Envoy XUV (that I absolutely love!) but, suddenly our rear window will not roll up (you can hear a clicking sound, but nothing happens). Also, I can't get the tailgate open. Does this have to do with the sensors? The info center on the dash says "see manual - tailgate". Well, we "saw the manual" and nothing tells us why this is happening. Thanks for any help!

What it sounds like is that your rear window motor is out. which will have to be replaced. usualy pretty costly. Also it is in your manual. go to page 2-13, to reset the tailgate position. press the window up switch and hold for 2 seconds after the window is fully closed or as far up as it goes, then press the window down switch and hold for 2 seconds after the window is fully open. this should reset the rear window position, which might be your problem, but if the problem continues it probrbly is your window motor. hope this helps you out.
if you have any other questions you can email me at bultmana hotmail.com

aww...that sucks. those things are not cheap. the 2 second reset on the window does not work for us. Actually, the window does not work at all anymore. Thank goodness for the middle window.
Thanks for your help, auzzie. I appreciate it. I love this website because of all the members, such as yourself, that help out when they can.
Cheers!

The odd time when I start my truck my right rear passenger window will go all the way down (As soon as the truck starts). Now sometimes I can put it up right away and sometimes it sticks down for as long as it wants to. Anyone have any idea whats causing this, I am hoping to fix it myself to save a bit of money.
Thank you!

My battery goes TOTALLY DEAD within 2 hours after I turn off the ignition on my 2003 GMC ENVOY. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? It used to do this every once in a while but now it is all the time.

I have a 2000 GMC Envoy with towing pkg. It has air shocks but the compressor that works my shocks will not kick on. When I hook a utility trailer to the hitch the shocks go all the way down. I have checked the fuses but they are ok. What could it be? ANYONE?

I just bought a 2007 Envoy and have that exact same transmission slop. I have demo'd the problem to everyone at the dealership and they act like that is normal. I know that it is not and at only 3000 miles on it there is no reason for that problem. I had some smart a** transmission "specialist" at the dealership talk to me like I was child (I have been driving GM vehicles since before he was born). I finally told the service manager to bring out a new Envoy and if it had that slop I would just eat it and wait to sell the car at the earliest time. Of course the other Envoy did not have the problem. The Service Manager turned to the transmission specialist and said "this Envoy does not have the delay and the service tech said "well that's because this one is new." I about lost it at that point. At this point I'm waiting for the Area GM factory rep to stop by. I have no real hope that they will fix it. If I actually find out any useful info I will pass it along. Please let me know if you do as well and if anybody reads this and has an idea about what is going on, let me know!
Thanks
John

I have a similar problem with my '02 Envoy. After taking the vehicle to the dealership to have a code read ( speed sensor in the rear end going bad). The Envoy sat down on the axle in the rear and although the compressor runs for a few second after starting and then shuts off as before, the rear bags never inflate. Can anyone provide me with pictures/directions on locating any fuses, relays, valves, compressor or leveling module that could be causing this problem? I am willing to pay but I do not want to go back to the same dealership that denies that their checking the codes could have caused this problem.
