I don't think they are the Rabbit's type...

About 25 years ago (or so), I had a friend with a VW Rabbit. It was white and had a long-whip CB antenna that was also white and mounted on the side opposite the gas tank door. He said that his Rabbit was a male! He would try to find other Rabbits to park next to. When he found the "perfect" mate rabbit, he would park, and then bend his CB antenna over to the other rabbit gas tank door. Well you can figure out the rest...

They should be aware. The accent, FIT, and Yaris are 4 doors! THE RABBIT IS ONE TOO. DUH. THEY ARE ALL COMPACT CARS.

Accent, Yaris, and Rabbit are all available as 2-door hatchbacks. As a 2-door, I think the Rabbit is a great value and is not much more than these other cars when comparably equipped. But get into the 4 door models, and Rabbit starts getting pricey and more a competitor for cars like the Mazda3s IMO.

I actually had the orange Honda Fit on order since May, and it was going to be December or January at the earliest. If I switched colors it would have still been another three monthes. Then I test drove the rabbit, and the salesman had me at "heating seats come standard" (I live in Minnesota). So yes, Honda has lost one Fit to a Rabbit. And this morning I was able to still Fit into the tinest of parking spaces!

Fit for Jazz by alltorque

I presume the Rabbit is the European Golf (?). Having driven a number of Golf variants over the years I have to say that I prefer my wife's Honda Jazz, (as the Fit is known in Europe), to all but the original Mk1 GTi. In terms of finish and versatility it's no contest and the 7-spd CVT 'box, (full auto or paddle-shift manual), is brilliant. Not the fastest car off the grid but a hoot to drive and it feels like it will go on for a loooong time. We have had the Jazz in Europe for some years now, they are very well regarded by everyone and hold their value well.

Don't understand why it's a Jazz here and a Fit with you, unless someone already owns the Jazz name. Anyone know ?

Don't know why the name change, but maybe just to freshen things up...dunno about quality though, have you sat in a fit? The vw rabbit has it beat, as good of a car as the fit is. It only excels in fuel ecomomy and the ability to paddle shift but other than that i'd take my rabbit. Yes the rabbit is the european golf, just with the old rabbit nameplate for familiartiy sake and coolness factor.

Well, not in a Fit but as stated, my wife has a Jazz and I get to drive that if I can sneak the keys away from her. Not decrying the Golf, it is a fine car but has got a bit bloated over the years and the seating flexibility isn't a match for the little Honda. It's all down to personal needs and preferences. However, if someone said I must drive a Golf then I wouldn't be crying about it. If I was told I must drive a Golf Mk1 GTi then I would be a happy bunny. Apologies for the bunny reference when talking about a car you know as the Rabbit............it's getting past my bedtime.

I'm living in Japan right now, and the Honda Fit (Jazz) is the Fit here in Japan.

Fit vs Rabbit by bobw3

The 4dr Rabbit has more luxury options, but it costs more than the Fit, has worse mpg, and less interior space. I think of the Rabbit more of a low-cost Mini than a Fit competitor.
