Hi all This is my first post to this forum. My wife just purchased a 2006 CTS with the 6 speed and 17" sport suspension package. It has XM radio but no navigation or Bose radio Upon delivery the info for XM was not the default and had to be programmed to share the button with the clock display. If you depress the button twice it takes you to an info screen for the XM stream which is playing. This display screen remains in XM only 4 seconds before reverting to the clock display. This seems silly!!! Why would I want to look at the time when I can see what is playing on XM. My Salesman says "this is the way they all are". I think its very unsafe. Is this happening with anybody elses XM Thanks in Adavnce Dave

| I was wondering if anyone knows if the 6 Disc Changer with the Bose Sound System has the ability to play a CD with MP3s on it? Thank in advance. | |
| I have a 2006 CTS with Bose option. TERRIBLE XM recption (wy wife's Pontiac has crystal clear). Complained to the dealership and was told there was a TSB on the issue. Does anyone else have this problem? I was told by both the dealer and Cadillac that I should just keep asking the dealer about resolution. Anyone know anything more? Thanks. | |
I have a broken "disk server" in the 6 disk changer. The local radio shop can't repair it. The dealer will only replace the whole unit with a new one ($1000). Has anyone else had this problem? How can I get it fixed or replaced at a resonable price? The unit has all the other functions included in it (trip odometer etc.) that are now not working.

Replying to: 1mmm777 (Dec 14, 2007 1:13 pm) http://www.rivetech.com/ Cost me 80 bucks. Repair was flawless. However, you must remove the mechanism yourself from the radio, and ship it alone (this is very easy). I bought 2 Bose 6 CD radio systems from eBay, and neither fixed the problem. Sent it to Rive, and got it back in 10 days repaired, and working better than new. If you wish not to remove the cd changer yourself, there may be an additional charge from rive tech. I HIGHLY recommend them. |
