I have recently changed my fuel filter on this truck and then about a week later I ran it to empty (oops). Now for no reason when running at a slow speed or coming to a stop the truck will stall. I get no warning lights it just stalls or sometimes it will run great and then I park it for work after work go to start it and it wont start, next day starts fine. Any suggestions?

hello all I have a 2006 dodge ram 3500 single rear wheel 4x4 auto tranny with a six inch lift and 37 inch tires. I pull a huge 5th wheel with it and on grades it really slows down to about 25 to35 mph. I changed out the gears to 4 88 put a 4 inch exhuast a cold air intake and the super chips programer. what can i do to get more power or maybe something is wrong with the truck. I also have a 2001 2500 but with a six speed manual trans with 33 inch tires and 4 10 gears. I used to pull the same trailer with and the grades never where a problem for it

95 dodge 5.9 cummins probable electrical problem. HELP! by georgeplisko

In a nutshell, my 1995 Dodge 5.9 Cummins Diesiel 4 WD truck has been running well for nearly 200,000 miles. Recently, there has been a domino effect of problems happening that I just have not been able to pinpoint the solution!
First, this summer I turned my a/c on high, then it just stopped cooling completely. Then, shortly after that, the charging system went out (I have to hook it up to a charger overnight to start it in the morning). Then, it stopped shifting into overdrive except when I am pulling a load with my dump trailer. Also, the cruise control will not stay set, and will just keep accelerating. THERE HAS TO BE A SOLUTION TO THIS! YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! THANKS.

I have a 2000 ram 3500 /w 5.9 cummins. It has a 5 speed trans. It has 270000 miles on it. last week i put fuel in it and immedantly is lost half the power.I have no check engine lights on, I changed fuel filter, added lucas injector cleaner. No luck. I was told it was probally the lift pump going out so I replaced it. No luck. I siponed most of the fuel out and added new fuel. Again"No luck" The truck will sometimes pickup and run great and other times I only have half the power. This has been a great pickup up untill now. Any help would be great.

I have a 06 ram 2500 with a 5.9 diesel and with the fuel prices I do not drive it a lot it seats in a garage. How long can it eats before it become a problem with the fuel? And what can I add to the fuel so it dos not go bad?

Diesel NOT falling like a gasoline stone! by titanium29

Ok, all you folks out there a lot smarter than me. I really don't understand this collusion: Why is diesel not falling hardly at all in my area while gasoline and oil per barrel is falling like a pair of meteorites? It (diesel) is a $1.10 - $1:25 MORE per gallon still than regular unleaded.

Is big oil figuring they are still in control of sticking it to the truckers, aviation industry, and those in the northeast that use heating oil? I just don't get it!
Any real insight you have, my nerves can really appreciate hearing it. T29
