There is also a cargo light mounted on the right side below the rear window that comes on when the rear hatch is raised. I don't have the third row seating and that lighting may be different.

I read that someone said there is now a first and second generation Santa Fe and that you could check the inside door panel. Mine was made August 2006, which I am assuming is a first generation. My map lights do not come on when opening the doors. Are there other differences that anyone is aware of between the two generations of vehicles? Thanks, Karen |
