That crunching suspension should have been fixed by Mazda. There is also a fix for the upeer front strut tower which concerns re-torquing.

That belt squeeling in the rain sounds like it may be the wiper motor.

You are lucky to get 45K km from those crappy OEM tires. That's why they're OEM.

It doesn't sound like you've had many problems. Try buying the Ford Explorer. Our 1998 model has something like 14 recalls and 350 TSBs.">

Actually he wasn't complaining about the build quality as much as he was complaining about the component quality. Again, he wasn't talking about the M5 specifically. I'm sure both component and build quality varies depending on the model.

First month in Mazda5 GT by eugened

I got mazda5 GT last month. The best thing about this car is agility. I live in New York city and have to maneuver in Manhattan traffic, parallel park in small spaces within inches from bumpers of other cars, carry 5 people comfortably for road trips and not pay huge sums at gas pump. And car need to be nice looking as well. Mazda5 meet all those requirements. Best urban minivan/car you can get. My wife always get surprised by small turning cycle of the vehicle. Where "poor" lexus RX 330 owner had to do U-Turn in 2 steps, I just turn on the spot. Quite good quality for winning parking space competition. Power is OK, not a beast, but ok. But agility, comfort, internal space, small dimensions make this car shine.

I own a Snowflake White Pearl Mazda 5 w/beige interior. I guess my M5 is different from the US model, as I donīt live in the US. The car is made in Japan, (US models made in US!!??). It has a 2.0L MZR engine, 6+1 seating, activematic transmission, sunroof, 15" wheels. Iīm very very happy with my car and the dealer is excellent.

- Great!
- No beige seats for the US/Canada (06/07s), but 08s will have the option, it seems
- US/Canada/Mexico models are also made in Japan
- No 15" wheels for US/Canada/Mexico either, it seems that the brake setup is different to make it fit. I don't miss them at all though, 17" are great (and the 16" option for Canada is also nice)

I took a pic of a Mazda5 at a dealer once while visiting the old continent, Are these like the wheels you have?

. They look good as well. The only ones I don't really like are the wheels with hubcaps, which should come with the lowest trim in Asia and Europe.

I'm guessing you are also also getting as options the Traction Control, 6-Speed Manual Transmission Diesel and maybe All-Wheel-Drive (I'm not sure if its Japan only for AWD though). None of those options made it to North America.

Well, let's keep an eye on the 2008s, there may be some OEM things we could get after market

We now only get one option. which is the model I have. I got the rear spoiler thru the local dealership. I also got the second and third row floor mats from autowebaccessories. Site for cool M5'(if you don`t have it): http://www.premacy.mazda.co.jp/
