Frankly the only thing keeping me from buying one right now is price and a general fear about the economy.

The Hyundai Assurance helps alleviate that problem. Lose your income within the 1st year after you buy it and they pay your car note for 3 months. After that, if you still don't have income to pay the car note, you can sell it back to them with no affect to your credit.

Maybe you should wait for the 2010 Ford Taurus. I've seen the website and it's a very nice look for the Taurus. SHO version is packing 365 hp to keep up with the Genesis, G8, 300C & Charger R/T.

Sounds like the sunroof issue I had with my '03 Avalon, why is so hard to get the right parts?. Congrats on the A6, nice ride.

While it's frustrating in the fact that I miss my car, at least they put me in a loaner. As far as getting the parts right...the shop manager believes that Hyundai must've received a whole batch of the parts packaged wrongly. He said he's had issues before with getting the right part for a particular car, but usually...it's the stuff that's not normal like powertrain, suspension and stuff like that.

Yeah...the A6 is truly a nice car. First German car I've owned and I can see why they are highly regarded when it comes to suspenion. Even with a sport tuned suspension, the ride is VERY nice. Not to mention the fact, stock tires are 234/45-17's. I would have expected the ride to be harsher with low profile tires, but it is quite complaint and comfortable.

"...they found out that the wrong part had been shipped, so they ordered a 2nd one. It comes in...and again, the wrong part. The part number on the packaging was right, but the part inside was wrong."

Reminds me of a shower door I ordered from Sears, years back. Wanted silver, arrived as gold. Reordered. Got another gold. Found that the catalog numbers for silver and gold were reversed! So we ordered the gold to get the silver! But in the meantime, Sears saw the problem and internally changed the numbers.. so, received yet another GOLD! Fourth time worked OK...

Funny how it classified as a large sedan here and else where, mainly I think b/c its the flagship premium sedan by a mainstream manufacturer but technically its a mid-size in its dimensions.

Well, has it gotten smaller in the past few years? Seems to me that it used to *look* larger, but that might just be an illusion due to the exterior design.

Yeah, overall it shrunk compared to the 6th Gen Maxima. It lost a inch in width and about 2 or 3 inches in length if I'm not mistaken. I think its about a half to a inch shorter in height as well.

The " midsize " Altima, according to Nissan website has 100.7 cu/ft interior and 15.3 cu/ft trunk, while the " largesize " Maxima has 95.8 and 14.2 for the same areas. Go figure.
