| I can only get cold air when the heat is on. I can hear the bumping noise in the dash. It was fairly warm but is now cold. I am thinking I need to work on the actuator and shut that door for a quick fix. Where is it located? | |

| On my 97 Taurus, the AC selector switch for heat control has a problem. Everything is fine, but when turned too 100% heat it starts blowing cold air? But when moved back up like a quater of an inch it starts too operate correctly and blow heat. Has anyone come across this problem, and if so what is it. And if not, where do you think the problem is routed? The switch assembly, which I dont know too be electric of vacume? Or in the operation of the blend door? Or maby even the Heater Core? Any input is appriciated. | |

I have a 03 Taurus which leaked water onto the passenger floor board also causing my AC Blower motor to short out. I could not get Ford to act even though a related recall existed under 03V087000. I have found many others with this problem. Together we can force Ford to recall/fix the problem. If enough people with the same problem file the complaint, NHTSA will force Ford to comply with their own existing recall or actually extend an EXISTING recall under 03V087000. Here is what you need to do: 1. Call NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236 or go to http://www.nhtsa.gov/ 2. File your complaint, have your VIN ready and dates of problems (if possible) 3. While filing your complaint reference recall number 03V087000 AND my complaint 10184014. This will show a continuing trend. 4. If your water leak problem also resulted in a shorted out AC blower motor, make sure you mention this as well. 5. Once you have filed, please e-mail me at williamford61 Do it and together this will get fixed! |
