| The 6/06 issue of Consumer Reports magazine contains a review of the GTI and Honda Civic SI and a couple other sport coupes. The GTI came in first w/ a score of 96/100. The VW didn't get a recommended check mark because it's a "new model" w/ no repair history (in the USA anyway.) This bodes well for the Rabbit which is built on the same body, etc. | |

Rabbit Review As you would expect in a German car, the interior is impeccably tailored and a solid feel is evident throughout.

Everyone keep us posted on repair issues.

Honda's are trouble prone. Honda's have to go to the dealer a lot for unscheduled repairs. Are the above true statements? They are as true as the statements you made about VW based on the JD Power results you posted. Based on the chart you posted both Honda and VW vehicles are likely to have ONE problem and a partial problem in initial quality. I don't know why someone would EXAGGERATE the difference by making such biased statements against VW? Perhaps the person simply hates VW and/or German car or they are irrationally drawn to Honda and/or Japanese makes. Perhaps the person simply does not have a grasp of what the quality statistics represent in the real world.

Self-righteous: 1)Piously sure of one's own righteousness; moralistic. 2)Exhibiting pious self-assurance. Hope that helps. Regarding Toyota: Sadly, I am unable to shop at Toyota dealerships in the midwest these days, as I don't understand either Persian or Arabic.
