Let me see... Do I want to be in a Civic which gets 5 stars from simulated crashes or do I want to be in a larger Lucerne? I'll take the Lucerne. It is my opinion the companies build to the crash tests specifics but the same cars would be difficient at different angles and different scenarios. Certainly you don't compare a Lucerne with a Civic, that's common sense. (The Civic has a 4 star side impact rating, not 5). Still, the Lucerne, a vehicle of that size and weight, even with side air bags, getting only 4 stars in the side impact test, is disappointing.
