It depends on how the car is equipped. Fitzgerald Auto Malls, the famous discounter of cars on the internet, lists several 2009 TCHs for $24,400.

When did the 2009 TCH's come on the market? When I bought my 2008 TCH in September, some of the dealers in Maryland hadn't even received the 2008 models yet, and I had to wait till my car was delivered from the factory.

2009 TCH Navigation and Traffic by anacapa

Hi - I am about to purchase a 2009 TCH and it is the top of the line model with the Nav and the Bluetooth.

My main question is, the car comes with the NAV, but you have to purchase a receiver and install it in the car and then also subscribe to XM.
By the time I spend the extra money, will the NAVteq system give "Real Time Traffic"? Will it re-configure your route if there are traffic jams, accidents?

The traffic and re-routing is the main concern for me, called both Toyota and XM but no clarification.

Thanks for the reply. So then what is the XM for, just a traffic radio station?

You get all the available XM radio stations if you get XM installed and activate the service.

Love my XM... have a 2007 TCH and hate my nav... but love all the options (that do work) that comes with the nav set. Regarding XM... the justice department just approved the Sirius/XM merger... The FCC has been asked to speed up approval as it is slowing down satelite radio sales while people are waiting to see what the new Sirius will be offering and how it will be merging XM. I have both. Hope this helps.

Just picked up my new '08 by remard

I just picked up my new '08 Camry and got a great deal. The car is awesome. If you're interested in buying a hybrid at a good price now is the time. You can get invoice pricing, $1000 cash back, and good deals on financing.

I know I probably sound like a salesman but I'm not. Just very happy with my car and the deal I got.

I too just picked up my 08 TCH last Wednesday. As with "remard", I got the $1000 cash back and a great deal - Blue Ribbon with Upgrade Package & Sunroof - $24, 700 out the door - added benefit of no personal property tax in VA for hybrids.

Simply, I love driving it. I drive 60 miles round trip every day. So far I'm averaging 37 mpg, though that'll probably change as I get used to driving and I get thru the break-in period. Added benefit is that I no longer have a lead foot as I did with my 02 Maxima.

I do however have a question for my fellow TCH owners. It concerns "stopping & parking" the car. What's the exact procedure for with this ?

I've been:
Stopping. With foot on brake, I place in Park.
Then press down the emergency brake.
Then press the Power button/switch for 3-4 seconds.
Most of the time everything goes dark, however, sometimes the dashboard lites remain illuminated and the "green" light on the Power switch/button remains illuminated. I exit then lock the door. When I return several minutes later to "verify" the status, all lights are off and the green light on the Power switch/button is no longer illuminated.
Any ideas ??

Thanks for your input

Holding the power button with your foot off the brake activates the battery so that you can listen to the radio, etc.. The emergency brake is optional... next time just push the power button once... quickly, without holding it in. Your car will turn off without the accessories kicking in.
