The 1st day I had the car the screen automatically switched to my nightime selected colors for both the menu and the map once it was dark out. Now it is not doing that anymore and I have to do it manually with the button. Anyone know how to set it to automatic? The manual isnt helpful. Thanks for your help.

Replying to: blane (Jan 23, 2008 3:55 pm) I have also found that if you turn the dash display brightness knob all the way to the brightest end (it has a small click when you turn it that far) that overrides the AUTO DIM in the Navi display and keeps it in the "DAYTIME" setting. I don't know how this compares to the 08 Navi system. Mrbill

Replying to: viet (Feb 22, 2008 10:59 pm) On a related note, does anyone know what is the difference between "call" and "dial" commands when using the hands free link for calling out (this is a question but for some reason my question mark key is not working!)

Dial is used to phone a person by saying their phone number, as in "dial 867-555-1212". Try that and see if it works.
