How can $2.69 per gge be justified after 11/1/07 additional $0.10 credit by Federal government that other proactive cng providers like Utah and Oklahoma passed on to their customers. Thus, UT was $0.74 per gge that dropped to $0.64 per gge after 11/1/07. Oklahoma did almost as well going from $0.95 per gge to $0.91 per gge after 11/1/07. I fill up my cng tank in OK for less than $5 for bi-fuel Cavalier !!   Everyone please email, write, call, complain, etc. to your Congressman, Senators, Governor, DOE, EPA, President, etc about monopoly price-gouging practices of Clean Energy . . . a national public company that cng users really do NOT want in the cng business. Frequent every mom & pop public cng pump you can and all those municipal public cng pumps - - give them ALL your business. CE even makes it more difficult by NOT allowing purchase with only a credit card . . . almost all locations require a "CE Fuel Card" which basically serves as marketing data gathering tool !! When I spoke to Corporate last week I asked them about the amount of advertising going into this car, as oppoosed to the GX.. I was advised that it was about selling the company, not the car. I returned with the opinion that the GX could be used just as effectively to sell the image... and the car. He didn't argue. I think they should make it mandatory all new school buses be methane powered. This could open the door to a nationwide fuel infrastruture. I think I will run for congress, oh crap I gotta go against Sonny Bono's X-wife. Diesel particulates are extremely hazardous to a childs health! Replying to: dejapooh (Nov 15, 2007 9:09 am) Please . . . if you really are a cng supporter, you can't stand behind Clean Energy monopoly practices !!   Clean Energy demands a $100 deposit for their "Clean Energy Fuel Card" which really is just a marketing access card that restricts access, then . . . get this . . . delays the actual credit card processing on a real credit card (ie Visa/MC/Discover) ONE DAY LATER in a batch process!!! Thus, CE is requiring a deposit only for their convenience to cover their poor business practice of delayed credit card processing . . . no real business would opt to not immediately run through a credit card for authorization!!! Further, CE does NOT pay any interest on this $100 deposit like normal utility companies have to do, and will only refund the deposit at cancellation of card. If for some reason, need another CE Fuel Card (like you move from CO to TX since CE cards are regional only, NOT national), then charges a $25 penalty for getting another CE Fuel Card and again charges the $100 deposit !!! These practices are BLATANT monopoly, and detrimental to the expansion of cng use to wider spectrum of the public!!! CE's deposit practices are just an interest-free loan so that customer has to carry cost of any cng pump installations - - last time I checked that was job of public company investors (ie shareholders) to provide capital for that business!!! The cng community does NOT want a scheister imposter like Clean Energy !!   I'll never be a CE advocate . . beware, avoid CE if at all possible. Replying to: jetboatjohnny (Jun 13, 2007 3:46 pm) So what does the psi mean? I own an F250 that won't fill on the 3600PSI side of the CE stations. If I get a GX and a Phill, those are 3600PSI. Still won't be able to fill up my tank...will a GX fill up at 3000PSI? Is the connection the same? How are you getting a 4100PSI fill?

Here in AZ, every time gasoline goes up, CE raises their prices (it's probably over $3/gge now)...which has NOTHING to do with natural gas...I too think they should be investigated! I have stopped using CE's fuel for a long time now...and will continue NOT to use it... Garry

Replying to: dsgd47 (Aug 25, 2006 1:09 pm) Just reading about your natural gas prices, here in Sydney Premium 98 petrol is about $1.70 per litre ($6.80 $A per US gallon) LPG (Liquid Petrolium Gas) is about 60cents per litre or $2.40 per US Gallon. My car a 1999 V6 Commodore manual is fitted with both petrol and gas and costs about $40 per week on gas V $90+ for petrol. Australia sells natural gas to China for about 5 cents per litre so why does it cost so much in USA?
