I have a '07 Azera limited with ultimate package. As far as I can tell it does NOT have a speed sensing volume control, if it does I have no idea how to make it work.

I think I'll just glue a fake XM antenna up on top and be done with it...

I have the 06 Azera Limited w/ Ultimate. I have seen zero evidence that there is volume control based on speed or interior noise. The volume in my Azera has never automatically adjusted.

If you've registered at the Hyundai Master Service site:

http://www.hmaservice.com/authenticator/login?returnAddress=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hma- service.com%3A80%2Fwebtech

... you'll find, after clicking on the "on-line training" that there's an on-line course entitled "XM Satellite Radio Web Course" and the second page of that says "2007 Models with XM Satellite Radio Systems as standard equipment."

I can say no more...

Well, I don't know anymore!...

Can you advise me on how to shift the T-40 torx fasteners to get started on this job? Do you have a T-40 screwdriver or a bit/extension bar which fits back there? The fasteners on my steering wheel are very tight and I can't shift them.

I decided to take a look at the existing part and how it it removed before going ahead and ordering the new part. Boy am I glad I tried this because I would feel really foolish right now if I had already paid for the part.

RE:63
Although the torx fasteners are tight, I simply put a vise grip wrench on the screw driver, gave it a little more pressure and they popped and easily unscrewed. I had the same apprehension at first. The entire procedure of changing the switch took less than 10 minutes. Unpluging of the airbag is unnecessary, simply lift and move to side or down. The switch is held in place by phillips head screws.
Just unplug wire from old switch and replace in new one.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I do not have a T-40 screwdriver because I could not find one to buy. So the screwdriver I am using is a T-30 and that may be part of my problem too. Did you use the correctly sized T-40 screwdriver or did you manage with a smaller one?

tuebrook, you need a T40 screwdriver. A T30 won't work. I was able to break loose the screw by hand, but it was pretty tight. The hardest part for me was getting the T40 at the right angle to get into the screw, but if you look at the screw you'll have no problem. It really was a 'piece of cake' to make the change. Go for it!!

BTW, I had to order a T40 since neither of the big box stores we have (Home Depot or Lowes) carried them in stock.
