Azera radio head by floridabob1

I have contacted Visteon ( 800- Visteon) to attempt to determine if they are the manufacturer of the radio head unit used in the 06 and 07 Azera Ultimate.
They provided no information and referred me back to Hyundai.
And so it goes!
If anyone has better luck, please post.

Like many Floridians, I am awaiting delivery of the 07 Azeras, but I won't check with the local dealers until they have plenty on hand. I understand that all Hyundais will eventually have XM,AM,FM radios. Has anyone heard of any Azeras with such a feature?

Haven't heard of XM being available, but it makes total sense with all the other makers making it available on their models. I'm pretty sure it will be at some point.

I have not seen a posting by any 07 Azera owner who has mentioned having or being offered an XM radio.
Has anyone heard otherwise?
I'm still attempting to determine if the 06 and the 07 Azeras use the same radio, and who is the manufacturer of the head unit. So far,no glory.

After waiting a couple of weeks, my dealer called yesterday and told me that the back ordered `07 steering wheel control unit came in. I picked it up last night and, thanks to Technishawn's instructions, it took me 15-20 minutes to do the install this morning. The inability to scan between stations had been my biggest complaint about my `06 Limited/Ultimate , so now I'm a very happy camper.
Thanks again to Technishawn for the easy to follow replacement instructions.

I have a '07 Azera limited with ultimate package. As far as I can tell it does NOT have a speed sensing volume control, if it does I have no idea how to make it work.

I think I'll just glue a fake XM antenna up on top and be done with it...

I have the 06 Azera Limited w/ Ultimate. I have seen zero evidence that there is volume control based on speed or interior noise. The volume in my Azera has never automatically adjusted.

I ordered a fake shark fin antenna (like the ones on BMW's) on E-Bay for $6.99. Looks GREAT!!!
