Replying to: tassds70503 (Oct 22, 2009 4:41 pm) Only a Ford dealership should do a CVT service. Its every 60,000 miles regardless of time. Even then, you might have to "remind" them that they should only change the FT-178 filter, and not the pan filter. And, no flushing is ever done on the CVT. Special fluid only, never Mercon or Dexron, thats for sure.   I wonder if the transmission shop will own up to their mistake, since a new transmission CVT is about $5,000.
