I'm 57F... Hubby and I were driving a CR-V we got a year ago and loving every minute of it. Easy to clean, easy to drive, and lots of room for us, our 3 grown kids (2 of which are flown, but they visit) and my golden retriever.

Then he decided to walk out, leaving me holding the bag with the huge CR-V payments. The car was in my name, so I traded down to the Fit Sport - payments a lot less, mileage anticipated to be a lot better, and still lots of room for my golden! He did a lot of highway driving, but mine is mostly city driving, so for the driving I do my new blue Fit Sport "Fits" the bill admirably.

I've only had it for 2 days and already I love it. I've never been very mechanically minded, but now I have to be, so I'm looking forward to the computer-driven maintenance schedule helping me learn what I need to know.

PS you really need to have one of those little Fit icons with little red hearts...

21 y/o Male, First new car.

The reason it was the Fit for me was the Magic Seats, I'm a musician and need to haul lots of stuff some days a week and hold 5 people on others, so the magic seat was it! The Fit has more usable cargo space (even with the seats up) than some much larger cars, like the Vibe/Matrix for example.

I've had it for a week now and couldn't be happier, I love this thing!

Congrats on the new car, bennetpullen. I wish I'd had my fit when I was playing music and traveling a lot. Hauling a bass rig in my corolla got to be a huge pain. I can't complain too much thoug, I was able to get a 4x10" cabinet and a 15" cabinet crammed into the back seat. It would be a lot easier to do with the Fit magic seats I have now though.

57 and 65. We bought the Fit as a 2nd car - for local work and errands.

We were looking for an eco-friendly utility car that was dependable, safe, and fun to drive.

Update - had to do a trip out of town to a funeral - amazing; got 6.9999 L/100 km - I'm thrilled. Only spent $23 on gas 82.5 cents/litre. This was a good move for me.

22 year old female.
Single, but engaged to be married in June.
Fuel efficiency made me happy. I also liked that it was easy to pick. Base, Sport; Manual, Automatic; Option 1, Option 2...etc. I didn't have to browse through huge lists of things. I liked that I don't have to negotiate, and I like that I'm getting a car that will hold its value and be reliable.

Ordered it on 9-2, should be getting it this week. Teaching me patience... Do I fit?

I'm 41, married and have three teenagers at home (16,17,18). I am starting a new job that I had to provide my own car for and wanted something that would get good gas mileage and still be fun to drive. I am used to driving a full sized pickup for work and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of room in the Fit. The whole family loves it. My wife kidnapped it for a few days while I'm finishing my old job and drove it to work rather than her 2005 Accord. My stepdaughter has tried to get me to trade and drive her 2004 civic hybrid. We also own a 2002 Monte Carlo, 1991 Chevy 4 wheel drive truck, and a 1997 Ford Explorer. I definitely have the most popular car.

Hello!
I currently have a 2004 civic lx 4 dr on lease that end's next Jan. I am 24,my wife is 23 and we have a 19 month old. We have decided already to go with the fit after the lease is up. The main reason is that I'm a scooter enthusiast. I have a Honda Ruckus( slightly Modified)and I want to be able to take my scooter to meets outside of my city.(would you want to ride a 50cc scooter two states over) We were looking at the Element but I just cant get myself to drive a SUV( half the reason is that I'm not the best of drivers with big vehicles)after we found out that you can lift the back seats and fit a bike in there, well you guest it the ruckus fits. Its crazy, this Eco sporty car can fit my Eco sporty scooter.

Do I "Fit" the Demographic? by fittman

Well, this is going to be my very first TOTALLY new car, I happen to be the owner of various American classic muscle cars, a full size Silverado pick up, and a 1989 Honda Accord LXi 5 spd (227K & still rolling!) as a daily driver. I just turned 54, and started researching the Fit after I saw it in a car magazine. Naturally, this was just prior to the $3+ spike in the price of regular gasoline, and the subsequent demand and purchase sight unseen of anything offering better mpg! contributing to heightened demand for the Fit. I had already realized that this was the car that I wanted, and after weeks of trying to just see one in person (let alone test drive!) I've managed to have one in delivery status. By the way, I am 6'4" and the Fit "fits" me..so, do I fit the demographic? I don't know, you tell me!

I'm 49, married with a 28-year-old step daughter who is out on her own.

I've driven nothing but 4-cylinder cars with manual transmissions since 1980. Fuel efficiency is a must, now more than ever -- for economical AND environmental reasons.

I wanted a 4-door hatchback, which "fits" my active lifestyle (a few camping/backpacking trips a year). I chose the Fit over the Versa primarily because of MPG and the magic seats. I've never owned a Honda, but the reputation of the make was also a factor.
