  • I am a 46 year old single salesman here in Brooklyn. My friends tell me that I should be driving a more "adult" car such as the Altima, Accord or Camry. I DON'T CARE! When I started Shopping for a car on the internet back in the spring, I had never even Heard of the Fit. It keep popping up, meeting all my search critera. Went to Bay Ridge Honda.
Sold out! Staten Island Honda out of StocK! By then I was obsessed. On a Lark I rode to Plaza Honda and a Beautiful Black Fit Sport Automatic was just sitting outside. After a brief Test Drive and some haggling, I bought it on the spot.
No waiting! It is a great car versitile, roomy and Fot to dive. A Video game of the road. And the hottest car on Campus.

And I can Fit my Surf board and Skis on my right and my Llama in the Back! Majic seats are cool. As are small parking spaces. So what if I am old?

40 yr old male, married, one child 2 yrs old. The Fit will be my commute car and our weekend trip car, so the 21CuFt cargo capacity, safety, reliability, all sold us. Civic, Corolla had too small cargo capacity. Versa didn't have ABS on their SLs until Feb, plus the Fit drives better and has more cargo space.

Me, 43 year old male, and my wife (primary on our Fit), 35 years old. This Fit belongs to us a pair of government bureaucrats. In line with the youthful image that the Honda PR materials push, my wife's Fit has been a hit among my wife's co-workers in Juvenile Justice and Social Services.

We government types may be boring people, but we believe we know what is solid and good.

    Age: 38
Married, 6 children (yes, you read that right), 2 are still in booster seats, all still live at home

still dont have my fit (ordered almost 4 months ago and STILL waiting, not happy at all ), supposed to be driving an automatic sport model, orange.
Currently driving our HUGE 15 passenger van until my car gets here (if it ever does).

test drove a Fit and fell in love with it, didnt care for the versa or the toyota model. I like this car for many reasons, tops are: price, comfort, safety features, storage space. I am a firefighter and see lots of cars crunched up, and it scares me to drive my little ones in small cars w/no side airbags since I often witness the damage firsthand...there is enough cargo space for me to stow my fire gear behind the seats, and/or haul some of my (many) tools since I fix a lot of stuff; there are enough of the clips in the car for 3 carseats, which is nice if I ever have another small child in the car. I usually only have 2-4 of the kids in the car with me at any given time, so the smaller size and better mileage would be a dream right now, as opposed to getting 13 mpg in our 'family bus'. I want my car so badly, but I am almost ready to start car-hunting again, but thats another story on another board. I just hope my car gets here soon!

You put 4 kids in the Fit...is that with or without carseats? You should look at a Sienna with a 2nd row bench to hold your whole family. You can get them for about $26K without all of the fancy stuff.

We don't have kids, but if we did, we would look at Mazda5. A pretty nifty microvan, if a little underpowered. We saw a loaded one at a local Mazda dealer for about $19,000.

But it wouldn't be big enough to hold 6 kids, unless one was driving!

I guess I fall into the demographic but that's not why I bought the Fit (had it a little over two weeks now). I'm 26, married, no kids, one cat, one big dog, and I work a desk job. The wife and I are pretty active after work and on weekends: traveling and various hobbies.

I love the way the Fit looks. I've read some posts of people who like the car but don't like the extra exterior touches on the sport. Well I'm guilty of liking the sport styling, but it was my wife who really raved about it on the test drive. I was all set to get the Versa, but the Fit just showed itself to be the superior vehicle. The fold flat seats on the Fit are perfect for taking the dog to the park or hauling stuff home from the store. I get the utility without the guilt as the gas mileage appears to be pretty good so far.

The reason I bought the Fit: I like small cars, I like good gas mileage, I like the space it offers for the size, I like the price, and its got a lot more bells and whistles than the base model '98 Corolla I bought fresh out of highschool. So for me, the Fit is a step up in every way. We're both very pleased, but I don't think I'd be interchangeable with one of the models from the Fit brochure. We're frugal Americans who like to drive and don't want anything excessive. I spell that F-I-T.
