Ordered a Milano red Sport Fit, auto trans in mid-July. Going to pick it up tomorrow. I'm a 56 year old male. No mid-life crisis, just looking for a good "wind-up" econocar. I had an '84 Renault LeCar years ago.....small, fun to drive, economical....it was a death trap, but I survived it.

Like the Element, alot of boomers are buying the cars targeted for the younger market. I ain't trying to stay young (no future in that), I just need efficient and sensible transportation. I'm guessing that gas won't be this cheap for long.....I bought the FIT figuring on $4 a gallon next Summer. I might be right, might be wrong, but doin' something as it seems gas will be going up again.

I think Honda knew us middle-aged folks would go for the Fit simply for its economy and versatility. That kooky advertizing was to get the younger crowd to take a look.

I'm loving my BOM Sport MT after two weeks, now. I'm sure you'll feel the same with yours.

There are a couple left in Mass. It'll be interesting to see how many Fits make it to them next season.

www.driveinmovie.com (or is it driveinmovies?)
You can search all 50 states.
My little one has never been so I plan to take her and some friends! IT will be nice, because even if I have to drive an hour or more, six speakers and 200 watts might make me want to rethink bringing the boom box and lawn chairs.

LOL My housemate had a crx, and even tho it was tiny, the hatchback allowed us to move many things taht the larger household cars could not. (more then a mazda and hyundai, not hatch.) Thats part of why I want a hatch. Downside is they might ask ME to move the big bulky stuff in my brand new car.

Nice isnt it? that you dont Fit?

I had same thought in my mind!
And I will laugh heartily at the knuckleheads buying big stupid cars (for their one person commutes) when they hit the gas stations.
