Just picked up my fit 4 days ago, after waiting 2 months. I also bought without taking a test drive although a dealer was nice enough to let me sit in one that had already been sold. I'm 37, married with 2 kids. bought primarily for high mileage but it is also a blast to drive. I think Honda is smart to market this car to the youngsters. us "old" people will buy the car because it "Fits", but no respectable tuner would ever buy a car that was marketed to their parents. |

For all you kids out there--- I got my red base in April after checking it out on the blogs. Sat in a black sport and checked it out at the SUNY college in Albany,N.Y. at a Promo for students. Had already ordered it in Feb. and the dealer had to look up what a Fit was. I'm 76, a widower and am happy as a pup with the space, mileage, and response. My only complaint is the low beams.

We picked up our Storm Silver Sport AT tonight. I am 54 and downsized from a mini-van. I no longer need it to take son and friends to swim meets, but do need a hatchback to take dogs in crates to dog school. My husband and I call it the baby mini-van. He drives a 1992 Toyota Celica. No room for crates there. We looked seriously at the Versa as well as the FIT, but decided to go with the Honda reputation. Kathleen |

| I'm 83. Wife is 82. We don't buy cars on a whim! Saw an article in the Nashville Tennessean about the Fit. Thought it would be interesting to look at one. Didn't know about the scarcity. Drove our '98 Accord to the dealer Here in Bowling Green, KY, and on a drizzly Saturday got out and looked at the Fit that was on the lot. Liked it. Took a test drive. Liked it a lot. Traded on the spot and drove the silver sport automatic home that morning. After a month, we're still liking it very much. So far, it appears that we're the oldest Fit owners on this forum. Is there some sort of prize? If not, the Fit is prize enough! | |

I read a review of the fit where the writer claimed that the Fit demographic will be young folks or old folks on fixed income. What ???? I am 53. I have bought 3 Honda Civic hatchbacks, but when Honda stopped sending the hatchback to the US, they left me no choice but to get the fit. Oh, I am not on a fixed income. But I am miserly, and the Fit is a lot of car for $15K.

Oh, I am not on a fixed income. But I am miserly, and the Fit is a lot of car for $15K. To be honest, I hadnt read the demographic. I just like an economical car I can get 250K out of (after owning mazda pos for the last dozen or so years.) Even tho I am older then the "pile the surf board into the car" generation, it did give me a point of reference. My housemate had a honda crx which is tiny as hell and just died at 245K, to be replaced with my second choice a yaris. (non hatchback now). All I know was that there were many things purchased or travelled over the years that simply would NOT FIT in the available proteges and accents. I plan to move at some point in next 250K miles and want a more cargo oriented car, and so the fit is for me. You cant buy a civic with AC for the price of the fit manual tranny. All I can say now is that I hope that i can survive the next 3 months till I get my fit. :::::SCREAMS::::

Over the years, the crx turned out to be the lifesaver even tho it is smaller then...well....EVERYTHING. With the hatchback we carried a pool (ahhh) and a large variety of objects you wouldnt believe would fit in the tiniest car known to man. And the fit is so much bigger! Man I cant wait**** to car camp and do the drive in movie! Later!
