The Fit is a "Great Little Car".

Maybe the next Fit ad campaign should target journalists ... I'm a magazine Web editor. Admittedly, our profession generally requires that we make economical vehicular choices.

It's interesting the number of Fit buyers who are replacing Odyssey's with their Fits! I fit the same profile, except mine is a 1999 Isuzu Oasis (re-badged first generation Odyssey).

The Fit will be our family's 7th Honda if you count the Oasis: 1984 Civic wagon (wife), 1986 CRX Si (me), 1992 Civic Sedan EX (me, joined a carpool!), 1996 Civic Coupe CX (wife, gave Civic wagon to son), 1999 Isuzu Oasis (me, wanted 1st gen Odyssey as next car, but didn't want the 2nd gen, too big), 2004 Element (son).

I'm 67, wife is 65, and we have been computer users since 1983, internet users since it was available (remember Prodigy?).

Sure it nice to know that there are more "Seniors" out there who have a FIT. This is our third Honda - first was 92 Accord EX, second is a 06 CRV and I traded in my 92 Accord for the FIT which I love. It is a white AT Sport and I just had window tinting installed about a month ago. Would highly recommend this as I do believe it keeps the car much cooler inside.
And yes, do I ever remember Prodigy! And at that time the fastest speed was something like 24.0.

38, second marriage, 2 kids (14 and 4...!!!), social worker. Our other car is 06 crv.

Between my wife and I, we've (pre marriage and since) also owned 98 Odyssey (1st gen - dog!!!!), 03 Accord EX, 92 Civic base hatch, 96 civc lx, 94 civic lx, 82 accord ex, 86 civic si hatch (my favorite car ever)92 civic lx.

I absolutely love my fit (black sport mt, wanted white w/tan int, or blue, or orange, but took what I could get). Got a nice thule rack from UK (aero bars and fairing), and it's complete!!

I'm 32, single, no kids and taught myself how to use the internet awhile ago

I love my Fit--I have an AT Sport Orange. This is the first new car I've bought--drove a '94 Geo Prism for 12.5 years. I am loving all the space and flexibility. Great car.

LOL ... the parking lot at work is full of Hondas of some sort, since we're all on limited budgets and need relatively cheap, reliable cars. Most of us commute at least 20 miles (one way) to work, if not more, and we're always driving out to cover things. And, my car "Fits" that profile

Our profession also requires knowing how to feed and clothe ourselves cheaply, lest our (::cough::small::cough: salaries go to waste

Picked up my Fit last night, waited less than a week to get one. Purchased it before it hit the lot and I had never driven one and only seen one once up close, never even sat in one before the purchase. I am 41, married with two daughters 10 and 14. Not exactly the young hipster that is in the Fit advertising! But my wife's 9 year old mini van was totaled in a wreck so I gave her my 2004 Pilot and went for a smaller car with better gas mileage. I do quite a bit of driving for my work. I needed a hatchback so that limited my choices and I found no better car out there than the Fit.

Congrats on the new Fit, but... in general I wouldn't recommend buying a car I hadn't driven or even sat in. Every car sits and drives differently. Hopefully the Fit will be everything you expect it would be.

That is true. However, if you want to wait to test drive a fit before you purcase one then be prepared to wait until sometime in late 2007 or maybe even 2008. Also I have woned and driven a number of Honda cars and my expectation of the fit's characteristics are pretty much what I thought they would be. It reminds me a bit of my old 88 Prelude (without the way cool 4 wheel steering of course).
