About "I think I may have been misled or perhaps asked a wrong question. Want to talk (better educated) with salesman when he returns about our original sales conversaion. Thanks."

Now better educated, I learned that GM part 17801236 at $195 comes with two remote-start clickers (technically about $100 each) and like spare keys must be specially coded to the truck by a technician using special tools, something an owner can't do, thus a labor charge for several hours work.

So, I wasn't misled, just asked wrong questions before I bought a truck model without the "complete" remote start option. Live and learn. My salesman was correct.

don't know if it will help or not, I had a problem somewhat like yours. truck lights work fine, but no running lights on my horse trailer. funny thing was my turn and stop lights on the trailer work fine. come to find out i blew the fuse in the truck for the trailer running lights. replace fuse and all works fine

He guys I have a 03 gmc serria 2500 hd 4x4 and wanting to install that second batery, My brother was looking and buy the exact same truck except a 2000 and i noticed it had the second battery. Any information of how to go about the wiring would be great. Im sure if I took the time id figure it out but me and wiring dont go together to good unless i have a box of fuses. thanks

On the inside of the truck there is a relay center. The relay is marked(on the relay cover)as the inadvertent power. That is the relay in the courtesy light circuit. You can swap it with the one out of the Tahoe. The relay center is on the firewall above where yout left foot would be.Make sure you swap the bcm's back to the proper vehicle the vin is stored in there and will cause problems. That's if it didn't already.

To give everyone an update on this ( sorry for the long delay on this)......... As it turned out, there was a light in the "cluster" above the bed that had burned out. I replaced every bulb on the exterior of the truck, with this set being the last set. Once that set was replaced, I had no more issues with this.

That does not sound right. You may have a bad motor or some type of problem from the factory with the wiring. Is the window straining on the way up? I have had several power windows fail in my 2000 and 2003, the problem is usually a broken transmission mechanism ( cables, etc.). Our winters likely don't help as it is normal for the window to freeze. The problem has not been the motor, nor do I recall the lights getting dim. If it's still under warranty, take it in and I am sure they will replace the mechanism and possibly the motor, it is common warranty failure.
