It will come back...you did the "lube fix" as mentioned in previous posts. Yeah, it works...for a while...but try to have the shaft replaced under warranty or a recall as mentioned before.

Yep. I changed the shaft on a '02 Denali and no clunks for two years. If you decide to change it yourself make sure you tie that steering wheel down good or insert the tool into the column to lock it.
