Wrap Up Long-Term Test: 2006 Kia Sedona EX - We experienced only minor issues with our Sedona outside of its regular maintenance schedule, and each of them fell under Kia's incredible warranty. Mechanical reliability was never questioned over its 25,000-mile lifetime in our fleet. Its low purchase price and good quality make it a great value up front. (more)

My Kia Sedona now has 19000 miles with no problems, average 22 mpg at highway speeds. If it holds up I will be a very happy camper. Plan to drive it 100000 miles.

I have the same experience with my 2007 Sodona. The same thing happened one week after I took delivery of the bland new van - shaking violently and very low revolutions and 'Check Engine' light flashing. Took them 3 weeks to fix the 'computer problem.' Last Saturday, exactly one year anniversary of the delivery of the van, it began to shake violently and the 'Check Engine' light flashed once again. Brought it for service. As of today, Thursday, they still haven't been able to fix it. And then 2 months ago, I found out that somebody had re-painted the front bumper before the van was delivered to me. Now the paint is peeling off but nobody is claiming responsibilty. So there is, a lemon. I can say for sure I will never buy a KIA again.

Put 30,000 miles our our 2006 Sedona and loved it. Very few problems. Got 21 mpg at 80 mph with 3 passengers and a full load. Only problem is low resale value. Keep it for 100,000 miles and you can come out ahead.
