The Bluetooth capability is an option and the lumbar control comes with the LT models. It sounds like you have a base model which may not have come with the Bluetooth capability.

It could easily last 10-years or longer if you follow the manuals maintenance instructions.

Still a happy camper at 13K miles by tsjay

My 08 Cobalt LS sedan with the automatic tranny now has a little over 13,000 miles on it, and I am still VERY happy with the car. I have had NO issues with it, since the leaking rear window was fixed.

I have pretty much just forgotten about gas mileage and no longer drive in a super fuel conserving manner. The little car gets 26 or 27 MPG with my mix of highway (but NOT super highway) driving and in-town driving. I was getting a couple miles per gallon better than that when I was really trying to maximize my gas mileage.

I just love that peppy little engine, the nice styling, the good handling, the quiet ride (for such a small, inexpensive car), and the good front seat room and huge trunk.

I couldn't be happier!

If you take the plastic engine cover off the top of the engine, your temp will typically drop about 10 degrees. I do that in the summer. The only downside is that the engine is very slightly noisier on acceleration.

Ask your dealer service about that if you really want to know.

We just bought a 2009 ls Cobalt LS 2.2lt and so far so good. I would like to find out how to remove to plastic engine shield so I can change the oil filter. I would put it once the oil change was done. Help Please 77 year old Dave In Ct.

Remove the oil fill plug and removing the dipstick makes it even easier.

Then simply grasp the plastic cover on each end and lift. A slight tug might be needed.

BTW

You'll need a 1 1/4" short socket to remove the oil filter retainer cap. Most don't realize this so I felt it OK to mention. It's available at many auto parts stores.

Also, when replacing cover. Take your time to ensure you line up the pegs as it is placed back in position.
