I've only had it since 12/5/07.....1500 miles on it now.....the 26 mpg was 70% highway at 65-85 mph. Never stomped on it during the test....not much anyway.

She drives 40k a year so 8 yr 80k warranty on train to last but 2 years or less. I wonder if I need buy a wrap around warranty, after market(vs Chryslers) Anyone buy full 100k warranty from aftermarket company? Chrysler's is $1295 and we all know that has a $300 commission or more built in.
What is most likely to fail? Heater fan? I see comments about. What else??? What about the spoiler mechanics? thnx J

Don,t ever buy any thing but the manufacturers warrantee When you go to get it serviced the dealer will charge you and then you have to send the claim into the
after market company I, had a bad experience. Not worth any savings.

I've only had my '04 automatic for a week. My brother picked it up in Texas and drove it to Upstate NY for me. Since I had to reimburse him for the gas, he kept track of the odometer reading at each stop. I couldn't believe he averaged 29 mpg while driving it 80 mph on regular gas.

Yeah, I was always surprised by the mileage I got. I had a 6 speed manual rated at 26 mpg but pulled 360+ miles on a single tank (using the recommended premium though). Very fuel efficient car and I too was a leadfoot averaging around 80-95 including the occasional race here and there

2004 Automatic, odometer reading 50,150. Use for daily commuting. Commuting distance 23.5 miles of which approximately 13 miles are driven between 65 - 75 mph and 10.5 miles driven between 40 - 45 mph depending on lights (10). Averaging 28 mpg. On one long distance trip averaging between 75-80 had 29.3 mpg. Conservative driving habits when accelerating from stop, but on curvy roads I test traction capability of the Conti tires. Overall very pleased with my mpg, not pleased with paying $4.00/gal, but that's another subject!

6 spd-'07, get on it a lot, kept track for 2000 miles......= 25.8 ave. The real killer is gas with ETOH in it......vol for vol ETOH only has about 60-70% of the energy in it as does pure gas......it ups the octane rating , but kills power & MPG!!!

My 2007, I bought new in June ,just turned over 5000 miles. Driving 70-75 on highway without air on we get a legitmate 28-29 mpg. About half city, half highway 24-25. Pretty much in line with what was advertised.

Still wondering how it will do this Winter on the snow. It's so low, looks to me like it will be a really expensive snow shovel going down the road

I have to say, I had some doubts when I first bought it, now I like it more all of the time. Just wish I could turn in loose and see 150mph on speedo.
