I've had nothing but good experiences with the dealer I've gone to. Prescott Honda in Arizona used to be York Honda but was sold and the wonderful service has remained. I've purchased 3 vehicles there now and it would have been just one except for the problems I had with the 2002 Civic that scared me a little into trading it for a 2003 CRV. I decided I wasn't really an SUV person so that's why I've gone back to the Civic. I took it in last week for a minor power steering leak, they gave me a loaner and I had my car back the next day. Their mechanics are trained by Honda and you can talk to them without feeling stupid. Even though the drive is not my favorite (over 100 miles round trip on mostly 2 lane highways) it's worth it.

That's great! I do hope you'll report this at the link I gave in my previous post - that would be helpful to everyone in your area looking for good work.

Do you know where I can get a copy of the TSB for the right motor mount issue? Thanks.

Somewhere in the Honda Civic site there was a complete posting of the Bulletin (#06-060) back when it first was issued. Maybe an administrator can help you find it.

I belive if you search the forums for 2006 civic lug bug, you will find the TSB there as I recall posting a full scan of the TSB.

I've got a 2006 EX coupe with 27G miles and I am happy to report that I have had no problems. It's a manual, fun to drive, no maintenance but rotations and oil changes. I don't like the seat fabric(not durable) or the too many hard interior plastics but it's a solid little efficient performer. Am I just lucky? Or are the many complaints on this site those of a minority? Any thoughts?

Love my '06 sedan. I did have the Lug Bug TSB performed, as I did fall into the vin numbers that could have had the problem. The service manager drove the car with me and he said that he heard the noise faintly but performed the belt change just to ease my mind. Had them tighten up the rear at the 1st oil change, made a noise over speed bumps. That noise has crept back a bit so will have them address this on Friday if they can squeeze me in for the 2nd oil change.
Car has behaved flawlessly and got 36 mpg's on a small road trip in May. All in all, happy with my purchase and hopefully this will last me till I retire within the next 6 to 8 years.
Did see the pics of the '08 Accord earlier and was blown away by what I saw. Might have to convince the wife to make that her next car in 2010.
#621 of 1262 Clunk when braking
Aug 21, 2007 (9:53 pm)
Since I got my new Si Sedan, I've also had the clunk while braking over bumps from the front end (may be on the right side, not sure).
Took it to the dealer, the tech said it was normal as I was "heavily loading the suspension", and that it's a "sport" suspension.
Uh, no. I wasn't heavily loading the suspension. I was braking moderately (as one would do when slowing down in traffic, when you aren't rushed to slam on the brakes, but do need to slow the car down). Using far less than half of the car's stopping power is hardly "heavily loading" it. I've driven cars with significantly harder suspensions that did not have this behavior.
Has anyone else had this issue resolved?
The Si Sedan is the only model not covered by the TSB that covers suspensions.
backy - Hyundai makes a decent car, but do they really belong in this discussion? This isn't a "reliability comparison" thread. I say this as a Hyundai owner, by the way.

Does Hyundai belong in this conversation? Well, I can tell you that another poster opened the door to the direction the conversation took by insinuating Honda has lost quality (true in my opinion) but then stated that they (Honda) may have started putting Hyundai badges on Honda products. This may have been a joke but both backy and I took exception to the continuing perception (by non Hyundai owners most likely)that Hyundai is still the unreliable, unrefined, cheap, throwaway, automotive version of the "paper plate" it was decades ago.

As targettuning points out, it was another poster who brought Hyundai in here, not backy.
As you point out, this isn't a comparison discussion, so yes, let's take the Hyundai conversation to an appropriate topic,
