My car has 50K and I live in the San Fran Bay Area which is far from flat. I avg 23 mpg mixed highway and city with some A/C use. Recently got 32 mpg on an all highway trip mostly with A/C on. Not bad.

I've owned an '01 CLs since new, now 104k miles. my daily driving gets 27-28mpg, straight highway (cruise control ~75mph) gets 34-35mpg. not bad for 3500lbs and 260hp...

Just finishing a 4 year lease on my 2003 CL-S (automatic - 46k miles) and have averaged 21-23 in mixed driving with 24-26 on the highway averaging 70-75. In exclusive city driving I've sometimes dipped under 20 but that's rare. Nice car and very reliable. Just purchased an '07 TL-S and loving it.

My '03 CL Type-S (6-speed) averages 23-24 mpg in mostly city driving with the A/C on. I drive it pretty conservitively on city streets, but on the interstates, I usually open it up to 80-90 MPH and I'll average 26-27 mpg. I've only reached 28 mpg once as the EPA estimate rates (cool summer evening with no A/C, all highway, kept it under 85 MPH!
It's a great sports transmission, but I wouldn't mind having a little more space between the gear ratios. 2nd gear is almost useless!

I am a 2003 6 Speed CLS with a Supercharger. My best without the charger was 32mpg on a trip from Maryland to North Carolina. My best with the charger was 30mpg at a speed of 75mph. In mixed driving I get 23 to 25 consistently. This is a great car!!!

I just took my first road trip with my 2003 Acura CL-S w/88k miles.
I checked the mileage carefully because I was curious about what to expect.
In 80% highway and 20% city driving, I averaged 28 MPG.
The car does have some mods such as a JDM cold air intake and K&N filter. Everyone that I have talked to about the Honda 3.0-3.2 litre V6's says these are "must have" items (easy to install too).
I think that I could easily crack 30 MPG with this car by driving a bit more conservatively.
