"louiswei" is correct ... no manual for the 350 .... 250 only.   I seem to recall one writeup on the 350 where the writer claimed he could knock a second off 0-60 by manually shifting the "tiptronic" 350 (as opposed to letting the tranny shift itself). I don't know about that as i have never bothered to compare.   Its plenty fast as it is .... i do a lot of city driving and am happy to be clutchless.   KC

I'm not terribly familiar with the IS and have just started looking into it. Back in 2003, I bought a used Blue 2001IS 300 when I got my first job out of college and loved the car. But in early '04, someone rear ended me into the car in front of me and my car died on the spot. I just ended up buying an '04 Accord which has served me well, but I'd like to own an IS again. Let's see what I can find and for how much around the DC area. I definitely want to buy new. I'll look into specifics on how the IS 250 & 350 differ, but I'm leaning towards the IS350. I've been going nuts with the teases of an IS 250 coupe from various auto mags. Since it isn't here yet, and they just did a refresh for 2009, I'm thinking it isn't coming, or at most, will come with the next full redesign. Does anyone know when that is? The newsletter from our local dealer also shows the IS convertible, featuring a retractable roof like the SC. It will arrive late spring 2009.

The Lexus site has pics of the new hardtop convertible, which is also a coupe. Don't know if it is the only version they will be offering. I have to admit that I though a coupe would be a lot cooler looking. The original 4-door looks better than the hardtop convertible coupe with the top up.
