Iv'e been reading that Mazda has plans to introduce back from sabatical, the next Mazdaspeed MX-5 in late 2008. wohoo! Plans include using the 2.3L MZR Turbo!

I don't think so. Considering how inexpensive the Mazdaspeed3 is, I don't expect the next Mazdaspeed3 to me much more then $27-$28K

Mazda is working on a Mazdaspeed version the Miata for 2008. Internet sources say the engine will the same 2.3 turbo four in the Mazdaspeed3, although slightly detuned because of packaging issues requiring a smalled radiator and intercooler. Do a google search and you'll find more information. No idea if it will be offered with the PRHT.

I have heard no offical news yet on this. However, it's no secret Mazda is working on one. My bet is we will see it as a 2009 model.

That's true, but being a convertible, I would think it would cost around $30K being the Mazdaspeed edition and a convertible!
