I really loved the Pac even if it was clunking (remember that I invented the "CLUNKING COMES STANDARD" logo ?). But the level of happiness I reached when I traded our 3 years old Pacifica, for a brand spanking new 2008 Pilot SE, doesn't match any level of happiness I felt recently. The unfixable front end was unacceptable for me. The fact that the transmission broke in the middle of the Canadian winter didn't help, nor the worn ball joints (at 50,000 Kms ?!?!). Driving away in my clunking free Pilot ... and seeing the Pacifica in the mirror ... that was like being a teenager again ! Priceless ! By the way, the 2008 Pilot was just discontinued (the 2009 looks different), so the deal was impossible to reject ! When I saw the deal I knew that Pacifica was history ! ADIOS Chrysler !

Replying to: pssimon (May 09, 2008 3:29 pm) I checked out the Dodge Journey last week and couldn't have been more disappointed. My choice for replacement was going to be Chrysler, but if this is the direction that Chrysler is headed, it looks like that won't happen.

I am concerned about towing a travel trailer with my 2005 Pac AWD with 3.5liter engine. I have not acquired the trailer yet so I am doing due diligence on insuring the safety and wisdom of this endeavor. I would of course get the towing package installed along with the braking accessory. But I am interested in any comments or experiences anyone has had in this area. The trailer would weigh about 3,000# and I plan to drive hundreds of miles each day. Thanks. |

Is anyone else having problems with their headlights? Not the bulbs but the plastic lenses in front of the bulbs. It has become very hazy ( and slightly pitted) and I suspect reducing the strength of the light. Has anyone found a solution to correct this short of replacing the entire lamp housing? Thanks.... ---Paul in Southern NJ
