On a value of approx US$ 25,000 I will end up paying approx US$ 7500 of which the biggest portion is the 20% VAT tax on the car value. You need to hire a service Agency, for the car must pass inpection on items such as lights, safety belts, brakes, etc. and it's all very time-consuming. Luckily my car came with a EC-conformity certificate and it simplifies things a bit. I suggest you be in contact with an import specialist as Bondesan (www.bondesan.com). They used to do this kind of service in the past, but I never dealt with them. Good Luck ! |
