I have heard adding 22 inch rims and tires to the Lincoln Navigator destroys the ride and you end up chasing the vehicle down the street because you no longer have the benefit of the suspension because you have less tire. Would I be better off buying a nice 17 inch rim and the largest tire to fit the rim to maximize comfort.   I understand you can't take an out of town drive on 22 inch rims and tires... Replying to: flash50 (Mar 04, 2007 9:15 am) It really depends on the tire size and how much sidewall is left. If it's a rubber band tire then it will ride like concrete. I wouldn't go above 18" on a car or 20" on a large truck or SUV and I wouldn't go below a 45 aspect ratio if you want to maintain good ride quality.

Replying to: stiritup (Jul 03, 2007 6:58 am) I've got 24's as well on Nitto 420's. Mine doesn't ride like butter, but it's pretty smooth. I've got to get new tires. Anyway, do you know of any engine tuners that will work with the 07 Navigator? I know they had them for the 04's because that's what I had before, but I haven't seen anything for the 07's.
