I purchased a used 2008 Jeep Liberty Limited still under warranty. I too had problems with a hard shift. they said it was totally normal. They didn't even try to repair it. It also had a leak at the truck hatch they never could find and today it started leaking, I am guessing from the sunroof. I have had it for about 2 years and never had the sunroof leak but did notice some leak stains up above my sun visor and at the door frame... When I make a right turn with my blinker on and then straighten out my left blinker comes on... There are lots of rattles in the doors as well. I tried to have them tighten up the panels but it did not work. I also had to have the motor block secured. And, there was also a valve leak and the gas tank had to be replaced. Everytime I filled the tank it would overflow on me... Don't think I will buy another Jeep. Its sad because I had a 2002 Liberty and loved it. Had no problems with it... they have gone way downhill. I am just too weak to fight with the dealership anymore.....
