If a non-Honda made and not-Honda installed moonroof leaked, destroying your interior, would Honda be legally obligated to replace the interior for free? If your Honda engine failed while under warranty (and you didn't abuse it and followed the correct maintenance schedule), does an aftermarket moonroof void the engine warranty? No, the roof leaked. "If your Honda engine failed while under warranty (and you didn't abuse it and followed the correct maintenance schedule), does an aftermarket moonroof void the engine warranty?" This is a bit of an unknown. What if the moonroof was electrically operated? That could be claimed as interference with the complex hybrid electric system. I agree that a manually operated moonroof would almost certainly not void the engine warranty.

I just bought a 08 HCH and the dealer had already installed the moonroof.
