2006 Civic Hybrid Moonroof?

I just purchased a 2006 Civic Hybrid. Does anyone know if an aftermarket moonroof can be safely installed in this car? The local shop which installs them for the dealer factory-installed option on other Hondas says he can do it on the Hybrid. With the new body design, will this be problematic? I have searched the forums and seen nothing about the 2006 models. Are there reasons not to install a moonroof beyond the potential mileage hit? Thanks for opinions and advice. |

If your Honda engine failed while under warranty (and you didn't abuse it and followed the correct maintenance schedule), does an aftermarket moonroof void the engine warranty?

"If your Honda engine failed while under warranty (and you didn't abuse it and followed the correct maintenance schedule), does an aftermarket moonroof void the engine warranty?" This is a bit of an unknown. What if the moonroof was electrically operated? That could be claimed as interference with the complex hybrid electric system. I agree that a manually operated moonroof would almost certainly not void the engine warranty. |

| I just bought a 08 HCH and the dealer had already installed the moonroof. | |
