Out here, where such a large percentage of the vehicles on the road are MBZs, many people play the game of trying to drive a less expensive 'C' class model and hoping that people will think it is a more expensive model. Replying to: derrelhgreen (Jun 04, 2007 10:29 am) If YOU say so, maybe that's just how you justify it in your own mind.   Actually, to answer your question...a lot of S-Class owners, 7 & 5-Series owners...all remove the badging off the trunk lid.   Yes, there will be some that will do the whole debadging thing for the purpose you're stating, but...MOST do it because it looks good.   Just because you don't or wouldn't do it doesn't mean that the reason everyone else does it is just to make others think they have a more expensive car than it really is. Before you go running around stating why folks do it, why don't you take a poll so you can have accurate information, rather than personal opinion...you might be surprised at how far off you could very well be.
