Hi everyone. I found your discussion very helpful and would like to share the deal I was able to get from Ray Catena in Ocean, NJ: 2008 RX 350 FWD Premium plus package, navigation system with rear camera, 18 inch 7-spoke wheels, heated seats with rain sensing wipers, wheel locks, cargo mat, tow prep package. MSRP - $45,816 Price Paid - $40,857 = dealer's invoice Doc prep fee - $249 Sales Tax (NJ 7%) - $2859.99 DMV electronic filing fee - $27.50 NJ tire fee - $7.50 TOTAL OUT THE DOOR - $44,000.99 Unfortunately, the dealer was not willing to go below the invoice no matter how hard I tried, so I hope I got a good deal! I have to say the experience has been wonderful, they didn't pressure me into anything and I won't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. My sales guy was Mike Barone. Competing offers received (rock bottom prices, would not discount further) - Lawrence Lexus - $41,358 + tax/fees Lexus of Bridgewater - $41,774 + tax/fees Lexus of Edison - $41,900 + tax/fees Hope this helps another buyer and good luck!

I would appreciate guidance on how low I should expect to be able to negotiate for a new 2008 RX350 AWD with Navigation and Premium Plus with Moonroof packages (local dealers only seem to get loaded versions) Initial quote from Lexus Greenwich was: $42,100 +84 plate transfer + 200 conveyance fee +2536 (6% sales tax) _________________ $44,926 total I'm having trouble coming up with a reliable "invoice" price -- different sources give different figures (Edmunds, Costco Carsource, Consumer Reports service...)-- from which to negotiate. I read earlier that one should aim for $2500 below dealer invoice -- realistic? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks to all for this very helpful forum!

Hi all, Lots of great discussion regarding this vehicle. I used Edmunds forums and other buyer's experiences to lease my '06 Maxima awhile back and look forward to the same when purchasing my '08 RX350. I'd like to hear if anyone has had any experience in purchasing this or any vehicle through Fleet Sales. I spoke with a Fleet agent in Los Angeles (I'm in Seattle) and he is willing to sell me an '08 RX350 with Prem + for $100 over invoice. I'm interested in leasing and he said that they go through various sources to acquire the lowest money factors possible. I would have to pay for shipping to get the car here, but no problem as I haven't been able to get a local dealer anywhere near invoice on this car. Does anyone have experience in dealing with Fleet? Can anyone tell me the current money factor and residual that Lexus is offering for a 12K and 15K 36mo term lease so I have something to compare with? If the lease is offered through someone other than Lexus (or TFS), how does turning that vehicle back in to the dealer at lease end work (assuming I decide to do that)? Thank you everyone, Jason |

I generally purchase "regular" gas from BJ's, they don't offer a mid-grade; and have had no problems. I do use an occasional tank of mid-grade if it is offered when I buy gas elsewhere. Pete |
