#3310 of 5852 Used RX 350 2007
Jan 09, 2010 (12:36 pm)
Hi went to my local lexus dealership this morning and saw the following...
RX 350 2007 with no nav package 30,000 miles for $27,500
RX 350 2007 with nav package 23,000 miles for $30,500
It would be an additional $3,500 for pre-certification on either vehicle.
Is this a good deal? Do you think I can negotiate from these prices? If so where should I start and what is the best price I can hope to get?
I appreciate your time because I am a first time buyer!

These prices are Outrageous. 30K for three year old car is too much. I wouldn't even consider these prices. Did you look at auto trader or craigs list to see if there are any RX 350 on sell from private seller? You are not going to find good deal from dealers on used RX 350.

Very pleased with the ExactMats I purchased. The driver's side has retainer holes so that it will not move toward the accelerator.

I don't know how far out on LI you are, but if you're willing to get it from Mt Kisco I liked my experience with Nerijus Aidukevicius (can ask for "Neary") at Lexus of Mt Kisco. He wasn't pushy while we were there nor after we left (were 2+months in between our first visit and when we decided to contact them to buy), seemed knowledgable, and didn't feel slimy like some stereotypical car salesmen.
Got my 2010 RX350 on Dec 31st for $39500 + tax/title/etc. No nav, but has backup monitor, heated/vented seats, Premium Pkg, wood/leather trim wheel/shifter, cargo mat and net, and wheel locks. When I let the dealer I was dickering with in NJ know that I was going with Mt Kisco, he told me he probably could have got it down another $100 or $200 with his boss for me, but that was about it. Also, Nerijus told me that all Lexus' would be going up $400 on Jan 1st (I didn't follow through to see if that truly happened or not, but I'd be surprise if that couldn't be negotiated away still).
MSRP w/o remote start was $44137. I got remote start installed at the dealer for $495 (originally asked $675; it's only $300 if you it's installed at the factory). When we picked it up we found out that they threw in 19" aluminum wheels (MSRP $660) instead of the normal 18", supposedly because they didn't realize the car they were offering to me had them until we'd already done our dealing including having had received the VIN for our insurance etc.
If you get in touch/decide to buy from them and don't mind giving me a shout out, please tell them I referred you (Steve Dittmar). I think I get a free full car detailing or something for referrels.
#3314 of 5852 Decent Deal - 2010 RX 350 FWD?
Jan 12, 2010 (8:54 am)
Looking at a 2010 RX 350 FWD in starfire pearl with light leather interior. Premium package with park assist. MSRP 43, 475. We're getting an offer of $42,500 OTD in Central Florida (this was mid-December and dealer is willing to honor). No other dealership in our purchasing area has been able to match or beat. Does this sound like a good deal? I'm figuring it comes out to about $39,000 purchase price for the car. Was hoping to get it for $41,000 before Christmas/New Year's but no one was biting.

Why this forum is so quite lately? Is this because RX 350 has no big savings at the moment?

I am following several makes/models forum. They are all pretty quite recently, compared to December. I guess this is because the most active car-buying (or anything else for that matter) season has passed.

Thanks to everyone who has posted good information on this forum. Purchased a 2010 AWD with Nav from Stevens Creek Lexus(No. Cal) in January--couldn't find my color combo in December so didn't even try to negotiate until they had the car on the lot. New cars have been coming in this past week and the purchase price was a little more than 10% below MSRP with no back and forth. I was extremely happy with the way I was treated and highly recommend this dealership. I am a female exec but I went in a few times in 'Mom mode'--kids sometimes in tow--and I was impressed by the treatment I rec'd every step of the way. A few things to note: the base model price has gone up about 600 dollars since 2009 so if you were looking at a car about 48.4K MSRP before the holidays(that's a typical price for nav/prem/comfor) the sticker will be 49 something now...
