40,500 is a little below invoice, not much. At the dealership they will show you the invoice. It's not a secret. That price you have isn't invoice on the config you're looking at so ask to see it or have them fax it to you. Even when you see the dealer invoice it won't tell the whole story because there is a factory to dealer rebate on this car. This car can be had for around invoice at any dealership. It's just some dealerships will give it to you without much hassle and others are trying to keep the price higher to protect margins and will not budge. I promise, if you call around the tri state area, ready to buy, you will get the car at about the same price as everyone else is reporting.

I am in Cincinnati and very frustrated with my shopping experience for a RX350. I am getting about 38900 for the premium package car no nav, almost settling for that. anyone deal with anyone in OHIO? maybe I should get the nav? I get from this forum that people pay in the 37 for the premium package car and 41K with nav and all the extra. sound right? I would love a better buying experience...

Lexus of Knoxville. Had a good experience with them. Almost all negotiation was done by email. Had to wait until end of month before they met my price and had to choose from in stock inventory, but they had the color we wanted. Email me if you want more information.
Good luck.

Thanks for the information. Could you send me some more information about how you dealt with them and the chronology of events?
Thanks,
Nathan

doctas,
Can you provide a contact information. I am looking for the same car at TX but without luck. I may just buy out of state and ship it to TX.
Thanks,
jjj7

I did the same thing as you are planing to do. Got my RX350 out of state. I am pretty happy with my car (price and made) in addition to a very good experince with the sales person.
