I took delivery of a 2010 RX 350 last week from Valley Lexus (CA). I’ve been watching this site for a while, so I thought I’d share my buying experience:
Car: 2010 Lexus RX 350 AWD
Options: NV, PM, CP, FT, WU, EK, wheel locks, cargo mat and net
Color: Misty Granite Mica with black leather
Edmunds invoice: $41,623 (est. for locks, cargo mat and net)
Sales price: $41,969.89
Sales tax: $3,992.36
Document fee: $55
Out the door: $46,600
Do not remember what the Lexus Invoice was. On paper it looks like I paid more than Edmunds invoice but there was a discrepancy between the Edmunds invoice and Lexus invoice. Something to do with TDA/Financial Reserve but I know that should be included in Edmunds invoice since this is money going back to the dealer.
I spent over a month researching and decided to go with a dealer 1.5 hours away since they had the best price and was willing to negotiate. All the other dealers in the area wanted me to come down to the dealership and I just didn't want to waste my time. I am very happy with my purchase and the service I received.

What was the price before taxes, paperwork and any other fees?
Did you visit other dealers in MA-any thoughts if you did?Sounds if you got a very good discount-any secrets as to how you negotiated? Was a trade in involved?

Greetings to call. I'm considering buying an RX350 and I've found that when you price it out on Lexus' website, they have option packages constructed based on your zip code. I don't want all the options in the package they have on the Lexus site. Is there a way around this?
#2918 of 5880 West Coast Dealers: Trading in a 2009 BMW X3
Sep 28, 2009 (12:41 am)
Are there any dealers here?
I am looking, unbelievably, to see what it would cost net to trade in my hunk of junk BMW X3 2009 with less than 500 miles on it for a new RX.
Has anyone done anything like this with what is essentially a brand new car?
I cannot believe I have this hunk of junk depreciating in my garage. It has the lousiest ride imaginable, it bounces, it rocks, it bucks, it undulates and now the bizarre transmission causes it to hesitate before accelerating leading to dangerous driving situations. Pound for pound the BMW X3 is the most expensive car in its class and it is the worst car I have ever driven...bar none.
The dealer says I will lose 20% of what I paid for it just a month ago.
Will I get a better deal trading it in to someone else for a new car? I do not want another BMW...who does. BMW makes junkers for idiots.
I am trying to see what my options are. Drive this hunk of junk for a few years and hope is has ANY resale value or swallow hard and take this enormous hit.
I am really bummed that I can't add any more lemon emotorcons to this post.

I have already popped veins. I'm looking for dealers who are interested in selling me an RX in the next few months. I KNOW it is my decision. That is not a helpful comment.
