what I want to say is price 1k higher or lower doesnt make any different. car actually different each other. Dealers know which car is better and which one might have small defect. so they always let you select car first then negociate the price. be sure you get a fair price with a good car.

They may know a little bit about some of the cars, but honestly how would they know anything about the 5 different cars I looked at that all had 2 or 3 miles on them? Perhaps a car gets dinged/scratched a little on the way to the dealer and they cover that up. I can believe that. But I don't think dealers would know if any of the undriven cars are mechanically superior to the rest of them.
FYI, I'm getting 23.5 MPG in 75% highway, 25% city mixed driving w/ my new RX 350. It replaces an 06 400h that got about 26 MPG, so I'm pretty pleased, especially for about $100/month less.
Those of you paying around 42,000-$42,500 for Nav, Prem, Comfort, etc. cars -- that seems to be the lowest that all the dealers I talked to were willing to go in June.

Great information thanks jcl2k5. We are looking at purchasing an identical RX in the next few weeks in the DC area. We were also receiving the same quotes of just over 43k. Would you be able to supply the dealers that came down below 42? Were you working with their internet sales person (we have found that person to be ineffective at one local DC dealer).
Thanks,
Matt

little bit different is already good enough to make the price 1k up or down. Some inspection doesnt have to get miles up. Start engine and just park there listen the engine noise from inside and outside. Put your hands on the stealwheel feel the vibration. I found the new car was different. Where made also is another fact. Many people are favour Japan made so Jxxx Pin is expensive a little bit than Canada made.
anyway, what I want to say is when you negotiate the price, at the same time be careful the car which you would get even all brand new.

687/mo seems a bit high. What price is the car being sold for? What money factor? How many miles? In NY, I was finding leases on Nav/Premium/Comfort for 599ish.
