Replying to: lasers (Nov 12, 2008 12:06 pm) We are planning on buying a RX350 Premium plus with Navigation. The salesperson did not tell us about the 0.9% APR. They only mentioned the 2.9%. Where did you find out about this and does this apply to southern California? We are getting for $37,363 plus tax and fees. Is this similar to what you paid?

Replying to: edleevm (Nov 21, 2008 2:13 pm) I was quoted by Longo Lexus few weeks back on a Mica Color Pebble Beach Edition. (last one) with Navigation and with most options. The MSRP was about 46,500 USD and they sell for 40,500 USD or thereabout excluding license and tax. Think it is about 1500 USD more that the Premium Plus package. I was trying to get the Livingston package with more 11 speakers and passed on that deal. These days I am also looking at the Acrua MDX which is more powerful (30 HP more ) and bigger (seats seven). I looked at MDX ML350 and the RX350, The GX, while not a gas sipper, is the best value in luxury. I don't have a long commute so the gas even 4/gal isn't going to be too bad. GX's are no way near as common as the RX too which makes driving it also kind of special. Check it out and look at the dealers inventory of them.   -eom

There are just too many RXs out there on the road and even though it might be best value SUV out there, there is just nothing special. Any suggestions for alternatives. By the way how much did you drop on the GX 470. I think most RX deals, you can get about 5-7K off MSRP. Any comments from others?

Replying to: sandra4699 (Nov 19, 2008 8:06 am) Sandra, the trims I was quoted was the Pebble Beach rather than the Eddie Bauer which carries a MSRP of something like 5K and the dealer in LA quoted me about 41K. I think I might get it down to 40K if I try hard enough. My logic is that if you pay another 2.5K you get a more customized trim with NAV. Once the NAV is installed it is not possibel to take out so advamtage is on is to negotiate a reasonable markup on the system. I know we can buy a quality NAV system from Best Buys for 300-400 tops but it is not built-in to the vehicle. I have compared for awhile the RX 350, with the Acura RDX, MDX , Infiniti EX, FX and believe it is a safe bet for mid size SUV under 40K. I was holding on the 10 RX350 but the reviews sofar have been disappointing.

You can email if you need dealer & saleman name or Phone Number. (Saleman) He was very nice, honest and straight forward dealing. He would tell you What options or best financing rate available at his dealer. I came to his dealership at 11:30PM and got out dealership with a new RX350 at 1:15PM.
