OK, hard bargaining does work.. be prepared to name other dealers and stock #/ deal you can get there. Best on east coast is Ray Catena in Jersey, but I couldnt drive there to trade in my Dodge.. bought from Raleigh-Durham instead. Got a premium pkg and a few other options, including 'gold' package ($580), MSRP 36.8k for 33.8k, or 3k off... pretty good deal. Doc fee $400, and $398 for 'Lexus certified inspection' on my trade in. Drove to Myrtle Beach for the holiday, got 30 MPG!!! On 87 octane!! (Usually lose 10-15% mileage until break in Great ride, very quiet, except some valvetrain noise 1st two minutes of warmup... cornering is not a strongpoint, but thats the tradeoff for an exceptionally nice ride (BMW and Acura have stiffer suspensions, but less ride comfort) Seats are excellent for comfort and support for long haul driving. Dealer wanted $600 for spoiler... It's small, so I passed. Best Wishes!!! |

We recently (end of October) purchased an ES350 with the same options, color, and MSRP (41,522) for $37,500 +TTL. From doing research here I thought we made a fair deal. So, ~$36,500 seems to be an excellent deal.

Since I've benefited from information posted in this forum, I figured it's my time to return the favor. I recently helped my Dad buy an ES 350 in the West Palm Beach area. Before traveling to Florida, I requested price quotes from dealers via e-mail for a "base" ES 350. This includes: premium package, Bluetooth, wood accents on steering wheel, rear seat side airbags, and preferred accessory package (trunk mat, cargo net, and wheel locks). MSRP is $36,242, invoice is $32,044. Below are the quotes I received (prices include car + dealer fees only): Lexus of Palm Beach: 33,579 (invoice + 1,535) JM Lexus: no response Countyline Lexus: 34,490 (invoice + 2,446) Lexus of Kendall: 33,948 (invoice + 1,904) Lexus of Pembroke Pines: 33,987 (invoice + 1,943) Lexus of West Kendall: 34,674 (invoice + 2,747) Wilde Lexus of Sarasota: 33,448 (invoice + 1,404) Since several people have raved about Wilde Lexus in Sarasota, I decided to ask them for a quote even though they're not in the area. When I arrived in Florida, I first called Wilde Lexus to see if they could improve their price quote at all. The salesman offered to eliminate their $490 dealer fee, bringing the price to invoice + $915. I then went to JM Lexus in Margate (which was swarming with people), the closest dealership to my Dad. With very little trouble, I convinced them to match Wilde's price (which saved us a 7 hour round-trip drive to Sarasota). The car hasn't arrived yet, but should be here in the next couple of weeks. Hope this information helps people shopping in south Florida.
